TUITION PAYMENT:

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE PAYMENTS AT YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL! Teachers of CREATIVE MOVEMENT AND DANCE will no longer accept checks that are left at schools! Already several checks have been lost or deposited into the schools’ accounts.

PLEASE BE SURE TO PAY YOUR TUITION ON TIME. MAKE YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT ON-LINE OR MAIL IT IN! We have been lenient in the past with students that have not paid their tuition on time, and have allowed a generous grace period. This year we must stick to the tuition guidelines (listed below). We do not like having to withhold children from class. It is very embarrassing and uncomfortable for the child as well as the teachers.

  • PAYMENTS ARE DUE ON THE 1st OF EACH MONTH.

  • WE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGE AUTOMATIC MONTHLY DRAFTS AND MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON-LINE.

  • LATE CHARGE AFTER THE 10th $7.00.

  • PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE 20th OR STUDENT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN CLASS. OUR POLICY IS TO NOTIFY PARENTS BY MAIL AND BY PHONE BEFORE A CHILD IS WITHHELD FROM CLASS.

If you would like to enjoy the convenience of automatic billing, simply complete the Credit Card Authorization form on our website and mail it to us.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

CREATIVE MOVEMENT AND DANCE follows the same cancellations for inclement weather as the county which your child’s school is located. Classes will be made up within 30 days of the cancellation. The make-up day and time will be posted at all on-site locations and notices will be mailed out to all students.

MISSED CLASSES:

There are no deductions or credits when classes are missed. Area dance studios offer make up classes for Creative Movement and Dance students. Also, several schools offer more than one dance class. Students may attend these as a make-up class. Call (678) 482-2264 for more details.

TEACHER WORKDAYS

County schools throughout the Atlanta Metro area have several teacher workdays scheduled in which CMD does not observe. CMD will hold classes as scheduled on these days. As detailed in your Registration Brochure, CMD follows the same holiday closings as the county in which your child’s school is located for Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break only. Private schools and church enrichment programs may differ. At these schools, we follow their closings.

JAZZ:
GIRLS: Solid color leotard (any color), pink stirrup tights or footless tights. If you wish to purchase tan jazz shoes you may do so, or bare feet are fine.

PARENT OBSERVERS

We cordially invite and encourage parents to observe class at any time, and thank all that have visited our classes. However, we have had complaints that students are being distracted by talking parents and loud siblings. Please observe quietly without disturbing the class. We request occasional, rather than weekly visits. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

MORNING CLASSES

Please be sure to dress your child at home if they have a morning class. Several students have not been dressed on their dance day. It is surprising how well a ballerina dances when she is in appropriate attire. Waiting for students to dress also causes a delay in starting class. Please remember teachers usually teach at two or more schools per morning.
